A self-defined multi-disciplinary artist Epp-Carter travels comfortably between traditional intaglio etching, woodcut and linocut relief prints, collage constructions, bookmaking, photography, sound art and found object sculpture.While the work may differ in media, the underlying theme remains the same, and that theme is a desire to point the viewer toward irony and absurdity in contemporary culture while staying true to aesthetically formal considerations rooted the decorative arts, expressionism and modernism.
