Artist
Glory Day Loflin
Glory Day Loflin is a southern artist from Greenville, South Carolina. Utilizing her interest in multiple materials, she makes paintings, drawings, and sculptures about her upbringing in the South. Her Human Vessel Series combines her interest in clay as a craft material traditional in the South and an untraditional approach to still life paintings using hand cut stencils. Through her education at The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in NYC, she developed an interdisciplinary practice that now includes music writing and performances as an extension of her hymn filled youth and a nod to the southern tradition of story-telling through song.
